About bujenjing
bujenjing is a small online stationary, arts and crafts and gifting business that was established on 1st April 2024. In its infancy we currently only sell wax seal stickers but plan to branch out and eventually sell greeting cards, invitations and stationary.
The wax seal stickers are modern day wax seals that have a self-adhesive backing. The backing allows you to simply peel off and stick to a range of different materials such as cardstock, postcards, wrapping paper, kraft paper and even translucent vellum paper. The wax seal stickers are super versatile and unique, they can be used for a number of special occasions such as weddings, engagement parties, anniversaries, baby showers, bachelorette parties, graduations, Christmas, birthdays, Valentines Day, honeymoons, funerals and even milestone celebrations.
What does ‘bujenjing’ mean?
“bujenjing” (boo . jen . jing) is a spinoff from the slang “abunjing bunjing” which means my lover/my darling/my baby in Tagalog. But I can’t take credit for it as it was coined by my grandmother who called her daughter (my mum) “bujenjing”. And in turn my mum has passed the term onto me. In my family, it’s a pet name to show adoration and endearment. And given this is my first time opening a shop and selling my products, like a first child, I consider it my baby and very close to my heart.
The Founder
Hi friend! My name is Jamila, I’m originally from the Philippines but my family immigrated to Australia when I was 3 years old. So I grew up and studied here in Sydney for most of my life. I have a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and I’m currently doing a 9 to 5 job as a data analyst in government. I am also a mum of two fur babies: Merry and Pippin!
I’m passionate about technology but I also have a knack for arts and craft. Ever since I was young I was very much into design and making things out of scraps. When I was in high school, I made my friends handmade birthday cards of their favourite characters, animals or food etc. And for the longest time, I’ve always wanted to open an online shop and share my designs with others. But I was a broke high school student, I was afraid and I was unsure on how I was supposed to run a small business.
But now in 2024, it’s time to make some big moves! Over the past 3 years I’ve been really enjoying packing birthday cards and Christmas presents with wax seals! I thought it gave the gifts a really nice personalised touch and in turn made it more exciting. This gave me another avenue to design and create and I absolutely love it!

Merry specializes in letting everyone know when it is time for a snack break with a non-negotiable belly rub.
Merry is the bigger and stronger cat of the two but will flinch at any sudden movements.
Pippin
The Destructive Micro-Manager
Pippin likes to always know what you’re doing and if you’re doing it correctly.
He also enjoys adding bite marks to anything that resembles a string or cable.
